Terms and Conditions

  • Hire - The hire of this apartment is for a minimum of 3 nights unless otherwise stated.
  • Occupancy -The letting of the property is only to those named on the booking form. Strictly two persons only can be accommodated and no pets. Sub-letting of the property is strictly prohibited. If the owners find any extra guests or pets the whole party will be refused or evicted with immediate effect.
  • Liability - The use of the apartment and its equipment is entirely at the hirer's risk and no responsibility can be accepted by the owners for death or injury to the hirer or a member of his or her party or for loss or damage to their belongings, including motor vehicles while on the premises. We advise that you take out your own holiday insurance.
  • Booking and Payment - A firm booking is accepted following confirmation of availability and receipt of a deposit of £60 for 3 & 4 nights and £100 for 5,6 & 7 nights. The full balance will be due 4 weeks prior to the start date of the booking. For bookings made less than 4 weeks in advance, full payment is required at time of booking. Payment methods, bacs or card via invoice. To check if the dates you require are available please check our availability page where you can also check prices and make a provisional booking.
  • Cancellations - In the event of a customer cancellation up to four weeks before the booking, every effort will be made by the owner to re-let the property for the said period. If successful there will be a full refund of the deposit/balance, if the property cannot be re-let, the deposit will be forfeited. If the booking is cancelled within four weeks of the commencement of the holiday no refund will be given. In the unlikely and unfortunate event of the proprietors cancelling the booking, a full refund of payment will be made and the hirer will have no further claim against the owner.
  • If there are any further Covid lockdowns, a full refund will be given.
  • Services - Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and a welcome pack are included in the tariff quoted.    Free Wi-Fi access is also included.
  • Pets - Due to our own pets being around the premises we regret that we are unable to accommodate pets.
  • Smoking - Strictly no smoking, camping stoves, candles, heaters at any time.
  • Right of Entry We, the owners, reserve the right to enter the property at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Care of the Property - The named hirer is responsible for maintaining the property, furniture, fixtures and fittings to the standard in which the property was hired. Any damage sustained to the above mentioned will result in payment from the named hirer for costs of repairs or cleaning. Please advise us of any damages that should occur during your stay. Replacement items will be charged at cost. We would appreciate if you could leave the property as you find it.
  • Winter on Skye - During the winter months the weather on Skye can be quite unpredictable. We often suffer power cuts and the Skye bridge can be closed for periods of time. These problems are outwith our control and we do not offer refunds for loss of power or failure to arrive due to weather or road related problems.

The Contract - The contract is between the Hirer and the owner of the apartment Mrs A Dougan.
